THURSDAY OF THE LORD'S SUPPER
April 9, 2020
"On Holy Thursday we focus on the gift of the priesthood and the Eucharist. On this day, I ask that you consider exposing the Blessed Sacrament on the altar. After a brief time of adoration and prayer, take the monstrance outside and bless the four directions with the monstrance praying for divine protection for your parish...
I will be doing this at the Cathedral at six o'clock in the evening. If this was done at the same time, it could be powerful blessing for our diocese."
Bishop Gerard Bergie

GOOD FRIDAY
April 10, 2020
A new prayer in the Good Friday liturgy:
"For the Afflicted in Time of Pandemic".
Almighty ever-living God,
only support of our human weakness,
look with compassion upon the sorrowful condition of your children
who suffer because of this pandemic;
relieve the pain of the sick,
give strength to those who care for them,
welcome into your peace those who have died
and, throughout this time of tribulation,
grant that we may all find comfort in your merciful love.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

HOLY SATURDAY
April 11, 2020
There is a GREAT SILENCE on earth today, a great silence and stillness,
silence because the King is asleep.
God has died in the flesh and hell trembles with fear.

CHRIST IS RISEN, ALLELUIA!
TRULY, HE IS RISEN, ALLELUIA!
“May Christ, who has already defeated death
and opened for us the way to eternal salvation,
dispel the darkness of our suffering humanity
and lead us into the light of His glorious day.
A day that knows no end”.
Pope Francis (Urbi et Orbi Message)
