PARISH GROUPS

Sts. Peter and Paul Seniors
The inaugural meeting for the Sts. Peter & Paul Seniors was October 21,1985.       The group started with a focus only on parishoners from Sts. Peter & Paul, but now any senior is welcome to join.  We have 88 members, and we organize a wide variety of activities and outings designed for those who are retired, or nearly so.  Among these are a Thanksgiving Dinner, a Bazaar in November, a Christmas Dinner, a Pot-Luck Get-together in February and a Barbeque in June.

Rosary Society
Picture
In 1985 the Rosary Society was introduced in our parish by Fr. Wojciech Wojtkowiak, OMI who was the Pastor and Sister M. Alexandrette. The first meeting numbered 75 parishioners who wanted to deepen their devotion to the Blessed Mother, spend some time in prayer, and do good works for those in need.

Besides their prayerful works, members have raised funds for various needs and causes over the years.  Members gather every other month for a meeting, and the Rosary is recited before each English Mass.

Harvest Kitchen is a program whereby local churches and community organizations host weekday suppers for anyone who would like to share a meal in an open communal atmosphere.  Sts. Peter and Paul Parish joined this organization in 2015 when, as a parish community, we overwhelmingly agreed to host meals on the fourth and fifth Thursdays of each month during the period of October to March.

We take as our mission to fulfill a line in Chapter 53 of the Rule of St. Benedict which says  « Let all guests who arrive be received like Christ. »   A strong group of parish volunteers warmly welcome guests to a delicious meal prepared by our kitchen staff, and served in our parish hall.  We have hosted three such suppers to date, and we have been blessed to welcome between 50 and 60 guests each meal.

Volunteers are always welcome.  Please contact the parish if you are interested.
